The Secret Weapon I Started With Was a Regular Computer Keyboard

My journey started the same way a lot of yours did: with the free version of FL Studio and a regular computer keyboard. I remember trying to punch in drum patterns, feeling like I was climbing a mountain with a spoon. Every beat was a struggle, and every sound I created was a tiny victory.

But that’s where the real passion started. It wasn’t about the fancy gear or the perfect room; it was about the raw art. It was about learning to make a single bass drum sound like a cannon and to turn a basic melody into something that could move mountains.

I’m grateful for that journey. I’m proud to say I now use an AKAI Nectar Impact LX, and my studio has grown, but that initial struggle is a part of my DNA. It taught me that it’s not the equipment that makes the beat—it’s the soul you pour into it.
